About the Business

My name is Eliza Florence and I am a passionate pastry chef and baker, my journey so far has taken me briefly to the Ritz, the Sheraton hotel Park lane and best of all, to the top of the Gherkin as a pastry chef. I have studied at Westminster Kingsway College for three years and soaked up some patisserie skills, which I have discovered is a never ending education, but the most important part that got me where I am at the moment was my family.

My parents always had a respect and passion for food, my dad would always tell us interesting things about flavours and the way food was really an art form, and my mum just loved to bake with me. We would make all kinds of things together, cooking for just us or for a massive family get together. A table spread with food and a centrepiece of a cake which everyone would "Ooh" and "Aah" at. All I can say is I love food, but most of all, cake. Cake is one of the most extraordinary foods.
